Day 1 - Dallas/Frankfurt
Depart Dallas to Frankfurt
Day 2 -
Frankfurt/Cairo
Arrive Frankfurt - Change Planes to Cairo - Upon
arrival assistance and transfer to hotel
Day 3 -
Pyramids of Giza - Sphinx - Egyptian Museum -
Nile River
Begin your day with a visit to the
Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, followed by a
visit to the Egyptian Museum which contains
historical treasures from throughout Egypt's
rich history. Throughout the day you will see
and cross the Nile River. Return to your hotel
for dinner and overnight
Day 4 -
Memphis and Sakkara
Depart to Memphis, capital of Egypt's
Old Kingdom (3000-2270BC) to see the Alabaster
Sphinx, constructed in honor of an unknown
Pharaoh between 1700 & 1400 BC. Sakkara has the
Step Pyramid, which is Egypt's oldest pyramid,
built by King Zoster. Continue to the Egyptian
Museum containing treasures of ancient Egypt,
including King Tut-Ankh-Aman. Return to your
hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 -
Taba/Jericho
Depart Cairo and travel across the Sinai desert
to Taba. Then change buses and cross into Israel
and on to Jericho. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6 -
Jericho/Qumran/Galilee
Early this morning you will have the
opportunity to swim in the Dead Sea before
departing to the ancient city of Jericho for a
brief visit. Continue south along the Dead Sea,
the lowest point on earth, to Qumran where the
Dead Sea Scrolls were found in 1947, then
continue to your hotel in Tiberias in Galilee
for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 -
Boat Ride/Capernaum/Tabgha/Jordon River/Banias
Begin your day with a boat ride across
the Sea of Galilee from Tiberias to Capernaum
where you will see an ancient synagogue and
St.Peter's house which was later converted to a
church. Visit Tabgha with the church of Peter's
Primacy and the ancient mosaic of the Loaves and
Fishes. Go to the Mount of Beatitudes where the
Sermon on the Mount is remembered and visit the
excavation's at Tel Hazor. Continue to Banias,
formerly Caesarea Philippi, where Peter said
"You are the Christ". There will be time today
for baptisms in the Jordon River. Pass by the
Golan Heights enroute to your hotel in Tiberias
for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 -
Tiberias/Cana/Nazareth/Mount Carmel/Jerusalem
Visit
Mt.Tabor and then depart to Cana where Jesus
performed his first Miracle and visit the Church
of the Wedding and renew wedding vows for those
who desire. Continue to Nazareth to see the
Church of the Annunciation, with Mary's Well and
the Basilica. Continue to Mt.Carmel to visit Our
Lady of Stella Maris Church and Elijah's Cave at
the Carmelite monastery, before ending your day
at your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and
overnight.
Day 9 - Old
City/Christian Shrines/Garden Tomb/Lord's Supper
Enter the Old City through St.Stephen's
Gate, stopping at the Pools of Bethesda before
continuing on the Via Dolorosa and Way of the
Cross. Included are stops at the Chapel of the
Flagellation, Lithostrotos, and the Arch of Ecco
Homo and all remaining Stations of the Cross
before arriving at the Church of the Holy
Sepulchre. Return to your hotel in Jerusalem for
dinner and overnight.
Day 10 -
Jerusalem/Bethlehem
Begin your day in Jerusalem at the top
of the Mount of Olives with it's famous view of
the Temple Mount. Walking down the Mount of
Olives, you stop at Dominus Flevit where Jesus
wept over Jerusalem before passing by the
Russian Church of Mary Magdalene; on our way to
the Garden of Gethsemane to view the venerable
olive trees which witnessed Jesus solitary
vigil. Visit the Church of All Nations. This
afternoon continue to Bethlehem, passing the
Tomb of Rachel and the Field of Boaz. In
Bethlehem, you'll visit Grotto of the Nativity,
the Oratory of the Manager and the cave where
St.Jerome lived the latter portion of his life
after translating the Bible into Latin. Complete
the afternoon with a visit to the Shepard's
Field before returning before returning to your
Jerusalem hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 11 -
Tel Aviv/Frankfurt/Dallas
Transfer to the airport for your flight
to Frankfurt. Change planes to Dallas
